About me.

Originally from Sydney Australia I relocated to Brisbane in 2002.

I went from being a Youth care worker and Case Manager with mental health on the central coast, to becoming a sales consultant for a world leading holiday company. I have always been active and health conscious participating in sports and having a gym membership from an early age and it was in Brisbane that I acquired my first personal trainer. I was hooked! Dan was fabulous. It was also in Brisbane that I participated in my first Pilates class.

Being the way I am free spirited and open to adventure not knowing anything about Pilates I went along to a 60 min class and left a changed person. I was at this stage boxing three days a week too, without realizing it was Pilates after a few classes I had noticeably increased my balance and core strength, I was feeling on top of the world. I later down the track relocated to the Gold Coast for work and acquired a new personal trainer straight away and then again stumbled onto a new location for Pilates without looking. I still at this stage had not put my increase in movement and stability down to Pilates yet. I was simply just doing the classes because I liked them and found that with sales it was a great escape from work for me mentally, as Pilates really brings you into the here and now.

My sales had dramatically improved my focus was amazing and looking back now I honestly believe it was Pilates that had shaped it all.

I continued on my Gypsy path and traveled Overseas for two years even though I was very much a nomad and was not working I continued with my running and visited gyms along the way. I returned to the Gold Coast and returned to my Training with Laura my PT, however, I was not back into Pilates and looking back now my fitness was nowhere near the level it was when I was combining my Pilates. Eventually I relocated to NZ again for work but mostly love. I had missed Pilates and the way it made me feel and I wanted to help others discover this simple joy. So here I am in Waiuku South Auckland NZ home town to my crazyily supportive partner Matt. I am now 32 years old and still active and grateful every day I am healthy and alive I am a qualified Pilates Instructor I studied with the best of the best in NZ to learn as much as possible to safely and respectfully bring Pilates to you and our local community.

So my advice is, "If you are a first timer to Pilates, try it. When was the last time you tried something new? It is not for everyone (mostly it is though) but you will never know if it is or if it isn't unless you just try it."

Love the life you live.
